Audio & Video Recording for DJs

The Audio & Video Recording for DJs course teaches practical methods for DJs to record professional-quality audio and video of their sets. Students learn multiple recording paths, set up multi-camera shoots with lighting and switching, and complete simple post-production suitable for social media, livestreams, and promotional use. The focus is on reliable, repeatable workflows that produce polished content DJs can share online or use professionally.

Topics & Goals

• DJ Mix Recording Methods
  Learn multiple ways to capture clean stereo DJ mixes using apps, recorders, DAWs, and onboard mixer recording.
• Video Recording & Switching
  Configure cameras, lighting, and switchers or OBS for multicam recording and livestream setups.
• Intro to Video Editing (CapCut)
  Edit and sync multicam footage with external audio, titles, and transitions for social platforms.
• AV Post-Production & Branding
  Polish audio, add overlays, export in correct formats, and prepare content for professional use.
