Ableton Basics is a free, beginner-friendly workshop designed for anyone who’s curious about music production and wants to get started in Ableton Live. Hosted in Sound Collective’s New York City studios, this two-hour, hands-on session introduces the core building blocks of producing music in Ableton, from navigating the interface to creating your first beat. You’ll learn how producers use clips, MIDI, audio tracks, and basic effects to build ideas, then jump into Ableton yourself in a supportive, no-pressure environment. Whether you’ve never opened Ableton before or just want a clearer foundation, this workshop offers a practical first step into music production.
