Brandon Scott is a professional drummer and educator whose passion for rhythm, craftsmanship, and continuous learning has shaped a dynamic and inspiring career. With roots in a musical family — inspired early on by his father, also a drummer — Brandon first sat behind the kit at age 10. Since then, his journey has taken him across the globe, from the cover band circuit and international cruise ship performances to working with local artists and teaching students of all levels.
Known for his clean, expressive playing and deep technical understanding, Brandon brings a thoughtful approach to the instrument. He specializes in styles ranging from funk and rock to modern hybrid techniques, with a particular focus on groove, rudiments, and developing independence and creativity behind the kit.
A lifelong learner, Brandon has studied with renowned drummers including Steve Fidyk, Peter Retzlaff, Ian Froman, Kim Plainfield, and Vince Cherico. His formative experience at JP Bouvet’s Drum Camp shaped his practice philosophy: isolate weaknesses, work through them with focus, and celebrate small victories. He is deeply committed to helping others grow through the same process — emphasizing quality practice, self-awareness, and a joy for playing.
In addition to his performance and educational work, Brandon has explored drum-building, constructing his own custom snare and bass drums — a project that deepened his appreciation for the instrument’s mechanics and design. His technical understanding makes him a go-to resource for gear advice and performance setup.
Today, Brandon continues to perform, record, and teach while always pushing to expand his skills and knowledge. Whether on stage or in the studio, he brings precision, humility, and a genuine love for music to everything he does.
