Dylan DeBiase is a NYC-based songwriter, bassist, and guitarist known for his distinctive voice on the 6-string bass and a songwriting style that blurs the lines between groove, melody, and emotion. A versatile musician with deep roots in both solo and ensemble performance, Dylan has built a reputation as a powerful sideman and compelling bandleader within the New York music scene.
In 2018, Dylan earned international recognition when he was named champion of the 3rd International Solo Bass Competition in Brooklyn, NY. His innovative approach to bass has since taken him on U.S. tours supporting Victor Wooten and collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Anthony Wellington. Whether on stage or in the studio, Dylan's playing is marked by a sense of musical storytelling that captivates audiences and elevates every performance he’s part of.
Beyond his solo work, Dylan leads the New York-based band Wreath, where he brings his compositional and performance skills to the forefront. The group showcases his ability to use the bass not just as a rhythmic foundation, but as a primary voice in songwriting and arrangement. A native of High Falls, NY, Dylan is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College and currently lives and performs in Brooklyn, NY.
