Kimchi Sawce is a French producer, composer, DJ, and sound designer based in New Jersey, whose eclectic and soulful approach to music reflects a lifelong passion for sound. Raised in a musical household in Nice, France, Kimchi grew up surrounded by timeless artists like Billie Holiday, Chico Buarque, Michael Jackson, and The Roots, influences that continue to shape his dynamic style today.
He began his musical journey as a drummer in multiple bands during his teenage years, before spending much of his 20s immersed in the European nightlife scene, where his love for DJing and music production fully blossomed. Since relocating to New York City five years ago, Kimchi has established himself in the Brooklyn underground, producing for rising indie artists and spinning across the city's most influential spaces.
As a producer and loopmaker signed to Mosadi since 2019, Kimchi has expanded his catalog across genres, contributing to over 20 projects for clients including Sony Music, Jägermeister, and Snoop Dogg. Known for his distinctive sampling technique, live performance with the Maschine MK3, and minimalist hip-hop soundscapes, Kimchi blends analog textures with digital precision in a way that resonates deeply with both underground and commercial audiences.
In addition to producing and DJing, Kimchi is active in the immersive media space, working as a composer and sound designer on interactive and experimental projects. A self-described music geek and sample digger, Kimchi Sawce brings not just technical skill, but deep musical curiosity and a global perspective to everything he creates.
Whether crafting moody hip-hop beds, scoring immersive installations, or guiding the next generation of producers, Kimchi Sawce is committed to pushing sonic boundaries while staying rooted in the essence of groove and storytelling.
