Biography
Leroy Clouden is a New York City-based drummer and percussionist with a prolific career in studio, stage, and live performance. He has recorded with artists including Steely Dan, Marc Anthony, and Lenny Pickett of Saturday Night Live, and contributed to the B-52’s landmark album Cosmic Thing, produced by Nile Rodgers. Leroy was also the drummer for the Broadway hit Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk, showcasing his versatility across multiple genres.
One of the busiest percussionists and drummers in NYC, Leroy brings years of professional drumming experience to Sound Collective, teaching Blues, Pop, and R&B styles. His teaching focuses on developing groove, timing, and stylistic authenticity, helping students translate technical skill into expressive performance. Students leave his classes with the tools to perform confidently across genres and apply professional-level drumming techniques in both live and studio settings.
