About Course
CDJs, Rekordbox & Live Performance is a hands-on introduction to DJing on industry-standard Pioneer CDJs and mixers. Built for beginners, this intensive program focuses on the practical skills needed to prepare music, mix confidently, and perform live.
Students spend most of the week actively DJing, creating playlists, beatmatching, mixing, and practicing transitions with real-time feedback. By the end of the bootcamp, you’ll record a complete DJ mix and leave ready to step behind the decks.
No prior DJ experience required.
- A professionally prepared Rekordbox USB with playlists
- Strong foundational DJ beat matching, mixing, and performance skills
- Confidence using CDJs and mixers in live environments
- A recorded DJ mix for portfolios or booking outreach
- A clear understanding of how to begin performing and booking gigs
- Music prep, playlisting, and Rekordbox mastery
- CDJ navigation, cues, loops and tempo control
- Mixer signal flow, gain staging, and EQ
- Beatmatching, transitions, and clean mixing
- Building DJ sets with energy and flow
- Track selection and reading the room
- Performance confidence and booth etiquette
- Social media, branding, and booking basics
- Creating a DJ pitch and EPK fundamentals
- Recording a professional DJ mix
- 15 hours of in-person instruction at our NYC Facility
- Private room booking the entire week of your bootcamp (facilities open 10am-9pm)
